When are you on air?
8.00pm – 10.00pm Wednesday
Tell us about your show…
Two hours of music from 60s to present day, facts about songs and bands, a brain teaser puzzle, local information and a top 100 album every week.
What was your first job?
As a student mental health nurse in Bath/Bristol. A life long career.
What was the first song you bought?
“Pepper box” by Pepper box.
What has been your best/worst radio moment?
Shows where you get requests and feedback from the public.
Making amateur errors with far too much regularity.
Best thing about being a volunteer at Chippenham Hospital Radio?
It's a worthwhile thing to do and feeds into my love of music and inability to stop talking.
What are the things that really wind you up?
Young folks over use of the word like 20 times in every sentence.
If you could interview just one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
Sorry, you're going to get three here.
George Mallory, a fellow climber, did he summit Everest in 1924 (most certainly not!)
Eva Perone (Evita) to lead women in the me 2 campaign, by example, her work with the poor. Her quote about clothes my favourite of all time.
Lastly my dad Joe, Irish through and through, tragic upbringing, remarkable man died in 1998, would love to have a chat now.
Possibly Gladiator, the era, the music, (' you just won't die will you Maximus').
Favourite TV show (s) as a child:
Magpie (both funny and naughty).
Favourite TV show (s) as an adult:
Without doubt, Northern Exposure (genius fun and I still watch it now).
Three here I'm afraid:-
“Where the streets have no name” (Live version) – U2
“Whole of the Moon” – The Waterboys
“Tinsel in the rain” – The Blue Nile (Uber, uber cool)
I have spent years learning to cook and have now achieved ' average' status. Fish is my thing so it would have to be a fish dish. Black sea bream with a delicate lemon dill sauce, new potatoes and green veg.
Favourite holiday destination:
Favourite place in Chippenham/Wiltshire
Wiltshire downs for a butterfly walk in spring.
