Jane Holman
Name?
Jane Holman
When are you on air?
Friday 18.00 to 20.00
Tell us about your show
Music from across the decades up to current songs; birthdays of the day (or week); a smattering of interesting (I hope) facts and some incidental chat thrown in for good measure!
What was your first job?
Being a child minder out in Switzerland while the mother ski instructed. I was woefully under experienced – but the children were fine!
What was the first song you bought?
I think it was “Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies.
What has been your best/worst radio moment?
The best would be getting through a whole programme with no gremlins and perfect timing! The worst (many years ago) was probably when I did a complete programme – and was pretty pleased with it – only to find that I had failed to go on air.
Best thing about being a volunteer at Chippenham Hospital Radio?
Meeting new people – both members and hospital staff – and feeling a part of the Chippenham community.
What are the things that really wind you up?
A lack in people of manners, courtesy and kindness.
If you could interview just one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
David Attenborough
