Significant changes are coming to the Household Recycling Centre serving the Chippenham area this autumn.

To cut queues and manage congestion, a new pre-booking system launches on Tuesday, 8 September 2026. 

From Monday, 14 September 2026, you must book a slot in advance to access the Stanton St Quintin site and nearby Lower Compton.

You can reserve a slot up to 7 days in advance online using the Wiltshire Council HRC Booking system, which you can find at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/bookhrc

Same-day bookings may also be available depending on daily capacity.

There's no change to opening times, which are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (Summer hours) and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (Winter hours). All sites are closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
