Residential Tree Fund 2024

Free Trees for Residents

Chippenham Town Council is committed to becoming a net carbon-zero organisation by 2030 and we want to help our town to reduce its carbon emissions too. They are offering up to 5 free trees per household or business to be planted on land within Chippenham.

Trees store carbon helping to fight climate change, they provide food and shelter to help our local wildlife thrive, and reduce air pollution and the risks of flooding. The trees in our scheme are all native British saplings grown in peat-free soil and include those small enough to fit in most gardens. They can also be planted as hedging.

If you place an order, you will receive an email regarding collection details in due course. Delivery of trees is anticipated in March 2024 and the Council will hold collection days where you can collect your order. Precise times will be communicated closer to the time; timescales will be dependent on nursery availability at the time of ordering.

The online order form will be live until  Sunday 11 February at which point orders will be submitted to the nurseries.
